My family is a typical Mexican family so we eat stuff like tortillas, enchilada, posole, tamales etc. But I have been trying to change my diet to become fit and healthy. I am just beginning, so it been a great challenge, I just don't know what i'm supposed to be eating or buying because i have never known what other healthy options there is. Any suggestions on what i can do? also suggestions on how to start losing weight and getting fit?
Thank you! :D Ah yes, diet can be a challenge. Since you are new, may I suggest that you take it one step at a time. Let healthy eating integrate into your lifestyle.
I read that your family eats the typical Mexican food? I found this info online: http://www.fitbie.com/slideshow/12-ways-make-mexican-food-healthy. Perhaps, this can point you in the right direction.
Another important factor is your commitment to your exercise plan! I recommend at least 3x a week. Just keep track of your progress. Here’s a tip, measure your progress every 2 weeks. If weight loss is your goal and you are NOT losing weight, then you have to reduce your food portions OR increase your exercise frequency/intensity. Try it out and most importantly enjoy the process! :)
